Tet has never had a hug, so he isn't completely sure if he likes it, but he is sure that he probably would. When it comes to hugs, he knows that they must be super special since everyone keeps giving them out. Sometimes, he wonders if hugs is a super power since it makes people feel better and fuzzy inside. Tet isn't sure if he'll ever be able to have a hug considering his quirk, but he appreciates the concept of them.
If something bad happens, no matter what, Tet will try to find the positive in it. He drops his ice cream cone? "Oh wow, I can't believe how amazing that gust of wind was." Someone steals his scarf. "Wow, you really run fast despite all those things in your hands." Continuing on with that ideology though, he also can't give 2 flips about anything going on around him. Someone in danger, someone scared, someone crying. All of those things are often quickly dismissed with a blindly optimistic statement.
Of course, the optimistic statements are only the half the reason of his unsettling nature. He is monotonously relaxed. He seemed to always have a nonchalant expression no matter what situation he might find himself in...or hear others being in. His seemingly lack of empathy for others is usually insinuated by his calm, optimistic voice. However, this is more of a product of him being aloof and not because he doesn't understanding basic human emotions. He understands them, he just doesn't care.
Despite all of this, Tet is easily pleased; satisfied with every little victory in life. However, he is also easily swayed about opinions on things that really shouldn't be opinions at all. Like if the weather is nice or not, or even how he feels about a certain thing. If you suggest to him that this is the best thing, he is almost instantly sure that you were right and that thing he has never truly experienced by himself is the best thing.
Although something he isn't too proud of, Tet is in a constant state of loneliness. Whether it be his quirk scaring people away or his optimistic comments; he has trouble holding onto real important relationships in his life that last longer than a day. You can give him anything to work with and Tet will appreciate every bit of it as long as his quota of loneliness is overshadowed for at least a couple of minutes. This behavior had spawned his love of heroes since they are here to serve the people and protect others.
For the couple of moments he has interacted with someone, he clings onto them. Even if the arrangement is only temporary, he wants to know everything about that person and what makes them so amazing. Of course, this leaks even to his hero obsession where he jots everything down in his “Super Secret Hero Journal.” The journal and it’s contents itself is not a secret since he tells everyone he meets he has one, but he thinks it sounds cooler if he calls it one. In the journal, he goes over what he knows about a hero’s quirk, their super moves, weaknesses, and finally a spot in the corner for their signature. This spawns down to Hero Students as well and he spends hours upon hours watching the news and hero student events, writing down notes about the students before they even become proper heroes.
On the flip side, while he doesn’t hate Vigilantes, he thinks a hero student who gives up their chance to be a hero to become a vigilante is dumb. Sure, he’ll give his usual optimistic remark when he hears it, but he can’t help but be disappointed regardless. He believes there is a charm that only heroes have that a vigilante just doesn’t get. He wouldn’t attack fans of vigilantes or vigilantes themselves, but he just doesn’t understand the appeal even slightly, If people ask him how he likes heroes and not vigilantes he’d just say “They’re not the same thing. It’s like comparing Light Novels to Manga. Sure, you can make the connection and they overlap, but they don’t have the same feel.”
Tet has a very “It is what it is” sort of personality, so he less dislikes things and more accepts that is now what is happening. He just doesn’t care enough to actually dislike something enough that he can’t find something positive about it.
APPEARANCE
WEIGHT: 42 lbs
EYE COLOR: Blue
HAIR COLOR: Blue
FACECLAIM NAME: N/A
FACECLAIM SERIES: N/A
Tet has blue, messy hair that is slightly translucent in the light. His eyes are an ocean blue and are generally on the rounder side. He is very small for his age, coming in at a whopping 3'4. His face is on the rounder side, usually accompanied by his blue scarf.
Tet is always bundled up. In scarves, in trench coats, in everything; Tet is always and always will try and expose as little skin as humanly possible in his clothing. Although he is usually seen in his trench coat and scarf, he does have different clothing based on the weather. The only rule is that he has to show as little skin as he can.
HISTORY
Ever since Tet was born, his skin contained glands that could create a painful almost bruise on a person. No one was all that interested in a venomous child and so Tet was left alone. He didn't mind it all that much though since he made a friend in an outgoing child by the name of Marina. The two of them were nearly inseparable, always chatting together about whatever was going on in their minds. As long as Tet had Marina, he didn't think he'd actually care if he ever got adopted.
But then, an accident happened. Tet touched Marina.
If you asked him why he touched her, he wouldn't be able to remember. All he can remember is his best friend crying as the pain slowly spread up her arm. The caretakers instantly came in and moved the two of them away from each other. After that, Marina and a lot of the other kids slowly started to become afraid of him. Since then, he decided to wear clothes that cover up most of his skin to avoid it happening again, but the damage was already done. He began hanging out alone more, sitting outside of appliance stores to watch the TVs set up in the windows.
Over time, loneliness overtook him. So he did his usual optimistic thing and went on a journey to try and find his birth father. He spent about a year, asking around and trying to figure out his heritage until he was finally pointed towards a drunk pseudo-night guard, positioned in front of a factory. Since meeting, the two of them had stayed in contact despite the father not being stable enough to take Tet in. His father would send Tet letters once every couple of months and that was enough for him.

Quirk AND SKILLS
QUIRK TYPE: Mutation
QUIRK RANK: Bronze
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Born from his parents' Venom Quirk and Hagfish mutation, Fluther gives the user elements of the Irukandji jellyfish. His body is made of 98% water, he can breath under water, and is naturally smaller then most kids his age However, most worrying about his quirk, his skin has sharp, stinger like glands that can cause a couple of side-effects to an opponent on impact- though the effects itself is not immediate.
By the first post of skin contact, the target should not feel any side effects, it should not be any different then how they normally are and they will be completely unhindered or believe there was no effect at all if they are not aware about Tet's quirk.
By the second post, the target should feel a small sharp pain growing in the spot of skin contact about the size of child's hand. It hurts like a sore muscle, but it's not unignorable and most people with a Bronze pain tolerance should be able to handle it as though they don't even feel a thing.
By the third post, the target should feel the pain sharpen a bit more and spread about the size of an adult's hand. Although not completely debilitating, it feels almost as though someone had punched them hard enough to bruise them. The particular point of contact would start to become light red. If the user has a Bronze Pain Tolerance ability then they would be able to feel it, but it wouldn't be too bad and someone at Silver Pain Tolerance wouldn't even feel it at all.
The target will also start to feel as slight shortness of breath, as though they had just jogged for a very short distance. Although strange, completely ignorable and most people with a Bronze Enhanced Endurance won't even feel as though they are out of breath.
By the fourth post, the target should feel the pain become more intense and spread about the size of a big adult hand. At this point, without a pain tolerance ability, it would feel as though someone had ran the spot through a revolving door over and over again. The point of contact will start becoming a bright red and the places where the pain has spread slowly becomes a slight pink color. If the user has a Bronze Pain Tolerance ability then they would feel it as though someone had hit them hard enough to bruise them and someone with a Silver Pain Tolerance ability would feel as though it was just a sore muscle. However, someone with an Pain Tolerance wouldn't even feel it.
The target will begin to feel as slight shortness of breath turns into a heavier shortness of breath, as though they had just ran straight for about a mile. Although a bit more debilitating not completely unignorable and most people with a Bronze Enhanced Endurance would feel it as though they had just jogged for a short distance and people with Silver Enhanced Endurance wouldn't even feel a shortness of breath at all.
It continues through the rest of the thread where it stops at the fourth post unless you manage to get it treated by a healing quirk user or an antidote that Tet keeps in his pocket.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: For the quirk to activate, there needs to be direct skin contact between Tet and the target. As long as there is clothes between you and his hand, there will be no effect at all from his touch. And even then, how much Tet's quirk effects another character is up to that character's pain tolerance. If they have Silver or higher Pain Tolerance, the quirk will feel like nothing. However, if they somehow have negative pain tolerance, then they might feel the pain as slightly worse then normal.
Similarly, the shortness of breath portion of his poison's symptoms also depends on how the character would be effected by it. If they have Enhanced Endurance Silver and up, then they should have zero problem ignoring if, but if they're out of shape or dealing with this on top of some sort of breathing issue, then they might feel a bit worse.
It is all up to how the character is against the symptom.
Tet is incapable of "turning off" the stinging part of his quirk, so is incapable of making any sort of skin contact at all with others.
Another thing about Tet's mutation is that he is 98% water; which means if he sits outside in the direct sunlight for too long, he'll not just get dehydrated but actually start evaporating into the air. This can be remedied by him dunking himself in water or drinking a ton of it, but if he is somewhere like the desert, there is a good chance he is going to evaporate.
On the flip side, if he is in the cold for too long, he might literally freeze to death. This can be remedied with warm clothing and fire, but it's only a temporary solution since he can only wear so much clothes without being completely weighed down. Extreme weathers are extremely dangerous to him and so he might spend more time in doors during the intense seasons of Summer and Winter.
